Veuve depuis peu, Claudina (70) va vivre avec sa fille très sérieuse et son petit-fils, ravi. Elle se sent attirée par Elsa (65), la voisine, femme indépendante qui chante dans un bar clandestin. Pour Claudina, une autre vie commence, loin de sa routine quotidienne. Lorsque la rumeur de leur liaison enfle dans le quartier, elle affronte et dépasse les épreuves, forte et autonome. La liberté individuelle propre à chacune est à conquérir.

Claudina (70) is a repressed woman from the countryside. After the pass away of her husband, she meets Elsa (65), a married woman, who invites to Claudina to discover real love. Under the judgment of a little conservatory town she starts a tough journey to be free, that makes to Claudina brave to leave everything and to understand that freedom is individual and inalienable.

Sinds kort weduwe gaat Claudina (70) bij haar heel serieuze dochter en kleinzoon wonen. Ze voelt zich aangetrokken door de buurvrouw Elsa (6), een zelfstandige vrouw die in een illegale bar zingt. Voor Claudina begint er een ander leven, ver van haar dagelijkse sleur. Wanneer ze in de wijk beginnen te roddelen over hun relatie, doorstaat ze moeilijke beproevingen waar ze zich doorheen slaat met sterkte en autonomie. De individuele vrijheid van elkeen valt te overwinnen.

Née en 1988, dans le sud du Chili, à Lautaro, Nicol Ruiz a étudié la réalisation de films à l’Université de Mayor. Depuis 2019, elle a réalisé sept des dix chapitres de la série télévisée de fiction “Los Carcamales”. En ce moment, elle est en train de développer son deuxième long métrage, intitulé “Cuando la Lluvia no me toca” (Quand la pluie ne me touche pas).

Nicol Ruiz was born in 1988, in the south of Chile, in Lautaro. Nicol Ruiz studied filmmaking at Universidad Mayor. Since 2019, she directed seven of ten chapters of the fiction tv serial “Los Carcamales. Right now, she is in the developing process of her second feature film, called “Cuando la Lluvia no me toca“ (When the rain does not touch me).
