Dans les années 1910, aux Etats Unis, les femmes s’organisent pour acquérir le droit de vote. Basé sur la vie de suffragettes célèbres, VOTE FOR WOMEN nous entraîne dans la lutte pour l’obtention du droit de vote des femmes en 1918. Les activistes Alice Paul (Hilary Swank) et Lucy Burns (Frances O’Connor) n’hésitent pas à mettre leur vie en danger pour bousculer les codes établis et enfin obtenir le droit de vote pour toutes les femmes.

Elles Tournent Women’s Festival will take place in the Botanique in Brussels from September 25th to 28th 2014.The Festival Elles tournent celebrates films made by women. The programme highlights innovative and stimulating productions, chosen for their imaginative potential, their subversive dimension vis-a-vis norms and their capacity to transform our perceptions, to help us to see things differently.They help us understand how in multiple contexts (communities, cultures, etc.), women resist and invent new ways of living, struggling and creating.All categories of films are welcome: feature films and short films, fiction, documentary, animation, experimental.
