Our studies

In Europe, in Hollywood, highly publicized initiatives are emerging to denounce inequalities. Studies question the place of women and men in cinematographic creation. In the United Kingdom, in 10 years, only 13% of the films produced have been produced by women. In France, it’s a little better … In 2014, 20% of the films released in theaters were produced or co-produced by women.

Cinema, both art and industry, requires talents of creativity and financial management. The artist is not expected only on his talent, his creativity but also his ability to access substantial financial resources and manage. Women face the resistance observed in other economic sectors.

Identifying the place of women in the film industry is a complex exercise. A cinematographic creation calls on a very large number of stakeholders. Cinematographic careers are mobile, changing. We are not facing linear career paths.
