Vitiligo est un « ciné-poème » avec la slameuse et poétesse Belgo-Burundaise Gioia Kayaga. Cette vidéo hybride, mêlant à fois la performance, le cinéma, la musique, la poésie, l’installation, le théâtre, la danse est un acte déterritorialisé.
Vitiligo nous invite l’espace d’un instant, à entrer dans la tête de deux femmes métisses en plein questionnement épidermique. Une expérience fantasmagorique.

Vitiligo invites you to experience the mindspace of two women, both plunged deep in an internal questioning of their external apparence.

Vitiligo is een filmisch gedicht met de Belgisch-Burundese slam Giola Kayaga. Een hybride video, en mix van performance, film, muziek, poezie, installatie, theater en dans.
Vitiligo nodigt je uit om kennis te maken met de gedachten van twee vrouwen die zich intern vragen stellen over hun publieke verschijning.

Née en 1988, dans le sud du Chili, à Lautaro, Nicol Ruiz a étudié la réalisation de films à l’Université de Mayor. Depuis 2019, elle a réalisé sept des dix chapitres de la série télévisée de fiction “Los Carcamales”. En ce moment, elle est en Française, d’origine Bénino-Camerounaise, Soraya Milla a grandi entre la France et la Côte d’Ivoire. Après des études en Arts du Spectacle à Paris, une formation de réalisatrice à l’IAD en Belgique, elle fait un master de production à l’INA à Paris. Elle réalise en 2015 son premier court-métrage Exotique et en 2017, elle tourne le documentaire In Wonderland. En 2018, elle explore de nouvelles formes narratives et transdisciplinaires qui débouchent sur sa dernière création, Vitiligo, un « ciné-poème ».

French, of Benino-Cameroonian origin, Soraya Milla grew up between France and the Ivory Coast. After studying Performing Arts in Paris, training as a director at the IAD in Belgium, she went on to do her master at the INA in Paris in production. In 2015, she directed her first short film “Exotique” and in 2017, she shot the documentary “In Wonderland”. In 2018, she explores new narrative and transdisciplinary forms which lead to her latest creation, “Vitiligo”, a “cine-poem”.
