WOMEN FILMMAKERS IN CONVERSATION

FR | Dans le cadre d’une collaboration avec le ZIFF, Elles Tournent vous invite au Webinar « Women Filmmakers in Conversation » (évènement en anglais). Des professionnelles du cinéma européen et africain se rencontrent pour échanger leurs expériences, réfléchir ensemble quelles sont les perspectives pour renforcer l’égalité des genres dans la filière cinéma.

Le panel mettra également en lumière le nouveau plan d’action de l’Union Européenne sur l’égalité des sexes et l’autonomisation des femmes dans l’action extérieure 2021-2025 (GAP III), qui vise à accélérer les progrès en matière d’autonomisation et à placer les droits des femmes et des filles au cœur de la reprise mondiale pour un monde égalitaire entre les sexes.

Cet évènement aura lieu en ligne (Zoom & Facebook Live).

EN | In the framework of a collaboration with ZIFF, Elles Tournent invites you to the Webinar “Women Filmmakers in Conversation” (event in English). European and African women filmmakers will meet to exchange experiences and reflect together on how to strengthen gender equality in the film industry.

The panel will also highlight the EU’s new Action Plan on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in External Action 2021–2025 (GAP III) that aims to accelerate progress on empowering and putting women and girls’ rights at the heart of the global recovery for a gender-equal world

FR | Grâce à ce webinaire, un panel de femmes cinéastes d’Europe et d’Afrique s’engagera avec un public international pour échanger sur les meilleures pratiques en Europe et en Afrique en général et discuter du statut de la représentation des femmes dans le cinéma, devant et derrière la caméra.

Les réalisatrices européennes proposées par Elles Tournent et les réalisatrices africaines proposées par le ZIFF discuteront de leurs environnements de travail et des conditions qui favorisent le développement d’une plus grande représentation des femmes dans la filière cinématographique.

EN | Through this Webinar a panel of Women filmmakers from Europe and Africa will engage with a global audience to exchange about best practices in Europe and Africa in general and discuss the status of women’s representation in film both in-front and behind the camera.

The European female directors proposed by Elles Tournent and the African female directors proposed by ZIFF will discuss their working environments and the conditions that favour the development of a greater representation of women in the film industry.

FR | Le panel présentera un aperçu de la situation du cinéma d’ANIMATION en Afrique de l’Est et en Europe, et plus particulièrement des films d’animation réalisés par des femmes. Où en sommes-nous dans la formation pour la production et la distribution du cinéma d’animation de courts et longs métrages ? Comment appréhender le développement technologique de l’animation qui modifie les pratiques de production et de distribution ?

EN | The panel will present an overview of the situation of ANIMATION Cinema in East Africa and Europe, and more specifically on animation films directed by women. Where are we in the animation film’s training for the production and distribution of short and feature films? How to apprehend the technological development of animation which change the practices of production and distribution?
