In the context of the exhibition POWER & PLAY (The Summer of Photography)  Elles Tournent have joined up with De Markten in a presentation of 2 film screenings (6 films).  These films address themes of gender and the representation of Woman-Man in contemporary society with humour and via a non conventional approaches to the subject matter.

Dans les années 1910, aux Etats Unis, les femmes s’organisent pour acquérir le droit de vote. Basé sur la vie de suffragettes célèbres, VOTE FOR WOMEN nous entraîne dans la lutte pour l’obtention du droit de vote des femmes en 1918. Les activistes Alice Paul (Hilary Swank) et Lucy Burns (Frances O’Connor) n’hésitent pas à mettre leur vie en danger pour bousculer les codes établis et enfin obtenir le droit de vote pour toutes les femmes.
